VACANCY FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR

The following notices were posted on the Melmerby Village Noticeboard on Friday 27th May 2022:

Vacancy caused by the resignation of Councillor Ruth Beaumont

Vacancy caused by the resignation of Councillor Marjorie Jones

We are a new council!

Melmerby Parish Council came into being in April 2019 following a Community Governance Review conducted by the local district authority – Eden District Council – where there was a clear wish of the electorate for the existing Ousby Parish Council (comprising a Melmerby ward and an Ousby ward) to be dissolved in favour of two discrete councils – Melmerby and Ousby.

We hope this site will be a two way channel of advice, assistance and information between the council and those who read its pages.

For any further information – general or specific – please contact our Parish Clerk.
